Exotic Overnight Home-stay Sojourn in a Thai House

Day 1

08.30 am Leave Chiangmai city. A pleasant one hour drive will get you out in the country-side, where you will see the local life-style. Also see self-sustaining agriculture being grown the same way as it was centuries ago.

Check in at a house for accommodation. ( You can choose to stay at a house with modern amenities, arranged by us or at a villager's house of your choice with very basic amenities. ) After a brief period of rest, lunch will be served.

After a leisurely lunch, cycle to several villages to see local crafts being manufactured. Return to our village. See local herbs and vegetables, after which, you can join in cooking the food.

After a relaxing shower-bath, a ceremony to bind blessed cotton-string around your wrist will be performed by an elderly member of the community. This is a centuries old local custom to welcome you to the village.

Dinner is served. The villagers will join you with their musical instruments while the local ladies will dance for you.

Over-night at the village.

Day 2

Rise up at the crack of dawn to present offerings of food to the monks. Then enjoy a hearty breakfast.

Walk around the village and the rice-fields to see local agricultural products like water-melon, cucumber, garlic, corn, etc.

Lunch is served

Return back to Chiangmai.
